[Animation tutorial]

Suggestion

It's probably worth mentioning that for the outline, your symbol must be a "movie clip" or "button" type, or else filters are not applicable.

I remember when I first started using flash and I couldn't understand for the life of me why my symbol couldn't have filters applied to it. Turned out it was type "graphic". That was a needless several hours of pain.

I gots to say, I'm impressed (with the message). It's nice to see other people actually be reasonable and informative in a major decision. Too many people follow their libido and act purely on impulse instead of thinking things through. And then to avoid the consequences of their actions, make other rash decisions without thinking them over (such as abortion) and so on.

It's just refreshing to see someone actually putting thought into action, and urging others to do so as well. Not at all what I expect from newgrounds which seems to be one giant seizure of an onslaught of stimulus. It's good to slow down and take a moment to consider what we get ourselves into.

As for the animation, very well done too. Nice and clean, though the music got a bit annoying after a while.. it may have been better to either change the music in relation to what is being discussed to fit it emotionally, or perhaps to just make it quieter. I'm also not as huge of a fan of the circle hands and no legs because limbs do add a greater dimension. Even so, it was still well put together and so overall I'm giving you a 10. It had good content, and I think ultimately that's more important than just the animation.

The song was catchy, I like it! Also, the animation was very nice, very clean, and even though there was a lot of repetition, it didn't seem to bother me. It fit well somehow. It had a very good flow...

and by the by...

I love the hypocrisy of the guy singing "Don't tell me what I should do" and then promptly telling us that what ought to be done is someone should remove the police.

[Utopia 2: the prequel]

Don't you mean "sequel"?

Hey, enjoyed the movie.. lots of plot stuff, I like it.

But, considering this movie takes place AFTER the Utopia movie you made before where he's running through the forest, then this is a sequel, not a prequel. Prequel means it takes place BEFORE, while a sequel means it takes place after. So you may want to change that.

anyhow, good work overall... the last guy I think summarized well the problems with plot and graphics that you might want to look at.

Well you see, the whole movie takes place afterwards, but the story that is being shown (his flashback) is the main focus of this movie, wich is the prequel of it.

Yeah, I guess you're trying to be funny by mocking religion which seems to be the popular thing nowadays, however, even if I DID find mocking religion funny, I still wouldn't have enjoyed this at all...

I don't really know how to explain it but... It was just really tacky? Yeah... terrible, boring, and the only thing you had going for you is that the drawings were okay I suppose. Although the voices were really annoying.

- great sound.. loved the crappy sound for Snake's "tutorial"
- It's funny 'cause it's TRUE!

I liked the concept, mostly because all the avid NG community knows exactly what you're talking about, but you pulled it off really well. I know that I've questioned why so many movies that are absolute garbage, drawn by a 5 year old, voiced by a computer, but have Link or Final Fantasy references and suddenly it booms up in score. Meanwhile, I'm wondering why my (at least somewhat) original flash videos—which are animated way better than at least those kinds of videos—receives a FAR lower score!!!

Yours was great though. You deserve some serious 5age.
To everyone saying this movie was crap: What are you comparing it to? a masterpiece movie animated by a whole team of professionals? Sheesh... You can't honestly say this movie is garbage... even if you hate the content, it is very well animated and you should at least credit him for that.

Hey, keep up the good work!

It was very light, cute, and simple. Quite enjoyable. I've heard the joke before but I didn't see it coming! I have to say I am quite amused by the number of comments about being upset over this video considering it was so lighthearted and harmless. We watch videos where people get massacred with blood and guts spewing all over the place and someone comments in disgust, to which everyone replies, "oh come on, lighten up.. if you don't like violence, don't watch it!"

*rolls eyes*

Well, this is not a forum for hashing out in spiritual war, but for commenting on the quality of the film.

I ENJOYED IT THOROUGHLY! Huzzah's all around. The animation could be tweeked up a bit more and tidied up around the edges, but that's about all I'd suggest. Nice shots, good angles, and nice little joke.

Saw your website too... looks like good stuff. Keep the faith my friend, spread the Word.
